Audacity

Audacity is a cool freeware that allows you to edit, cut & copy, splice or mix audio files together in order to produce your original Remix of a certain melody, or just your simple composer creation. Audacity is currently present in a stable version which is 1.2.6, but there is also a beta version out (version 1.3.6). Besides the fact that you can customize your editors preferences, audacity freeware offers a lot more features.

Some of Audacity Features are:

* Record a sound, a live conference, concert or anything Live.
* Converts old tapes and records them into new digital recordings or Audio CDs.
* Change the speed or pitch without altering the tempo of a recording.
* Some cool Sound Effects that can be added to your mp3 Track.
* Record up to 16 channels, all in the same time.
* Supported Audio Extensions: wav, mp2, mp3, wma, m4a (iPod extension), ac3, aiff, au and some other not so famous extensions.
